Term 3 was a very busy term. We had a lot of projects due so we were very busy all term. Our inquiry was so much fun. We were in pairs, I was with Alice. Our topic was ICT. We did our inquiry on Apple Inc. Look at my Term 3 ICT page for more information. We did poetry in Writing which was fun. We also started doing Dance movements for fitness. We did an assesments on our writing. I got a 4P. I am improving in most subjects. I am getting 4s in everything which is a year 8 level. We also went to the Fonterra Science Roadshow which was a treat. It was at Kuranui and had heaps of interactive activities. One of them was a bed of nails which I got to lie on. It was comfy which was a surprise. For writing we started Poetry. We learnt about a Japanese poetry: Haiku. We also did Diamante poems which are poems in the shape of Diamonds, hense the name Diamante! We also started doing Discovery Time which is where the whole class searches the web for new Web 2.0 Tools that could enchance our learning.I have found some really groovy sites which I think help a lot. We also continued doing the Basic Facts Challenge. I have got 100 every week except for 1 or 2 weeks. For PE we are doing Target Games like Chair Soccer etc. For languages we started French. I find this so much more interesting and fun than Te Reo Maori. We have learnt hellos, farewells and how to have a conversation in French. As a treat we made crepes on the last week of term. Look at my French Page for more infomation. We also had Mr C this term for 2 days a week instead of Mrs S. In Term 4 we have Mrs Stevens all week which is great.
Overall it was a great term even though it was a busy term. I learnt heaps of things and had a lot of fun!

busy as Term3.Term3.Our topic this term was careers. I thought this topic was best as it was personal and we could find out about a career, I chose Zoo Keeping. For more information check out my topic page:) We had to do assesments this term as it is the end of the year. We did EasTTle Testing, Writing Assesments, GAP test and some others. I scored really well in all of my tests and improved in all of them. I am really proud of all of the work I have done in 2010. Check out my other pages for more information. This term we had athletics day. I didn't get into interschool which was a bit annoying as I tried really ahrd and was aiming for interschool. But oh well. I will aim for next year:) This term we also ahd interviews for 2011 Black Hats. Black Hats are leaders of the school. I signed up and Mrs Stevens and Mr Mackay chose 201 of them out of 36. Not everybody had to sign up but I did and guess what!!!!!.............................................. I am now a Black Hat for 2011. I am really proud and happy. I will hopefully be a good leader next year for the whol school. Out of all the Black Hats chosen for 2011, 2 will be chosen for Head Boy and Head Girl. French has been good this term but ahven't done as much as last term. We had to make movies about all of the french we have learnt. This page is still under constructiongoing great. In the last two weeks of term we are having some fun. We are doing art this week and next week we are doing some fun things : Secret Santa, Pool Day at local pools, Shared lunch and final assembly. I also love Dancing, Netball and Swimming. I dislike animal cruelty, a few veges!! and more. My hobbies are reading (I'm a bookworm!), surfing the net, travelling and having fun. I also love The Twilight Saga By Stephenie Meyer! They are the best books,along with a lot of other books I've read. :) :) :) I also love the Harry Potter Series. This pageterm we are focusing on our careers and what we would like to do when we are older. I am really enjoying this topic as I am able to find out about Zoo Keeping which is what I would like to as a career. The whole class did a career test which will haveshow up our most suited jobs. Mine came up with ones involving animals.

Hi we have just finished another term of tech. This term I did cooking which was really fun. We cooked a variety of foods. We cooked Scroggin, Mince Koftas, Pizza Pinwheel Scones, Thai Chicken Curry. Today we got to make one of our recipes. I made Raspberry Jam! It tastes really yum. We also made chocolate cupcakes which also taste yummy!! :)

This term I am in electronics. We are making door alarms and when they are triggered the eyes will light up. I am doing a Garfield alarm. We have to make the base and the circuit for the eyes. I'm not that bad at the circuits and am enjoying doing this project. We are also learning about alarming and electronics. I am in my third week and this week we are finishing our circuits and doing some book work.
